Contemporary Dancers sought for KISS by Tino Sehgal

MAZ is looking for contemporary dancers of all ages to take part in the two different versions of Tino Sehgal’s KISS. The work is a slow and contemplative work in which two dancers move slowly and consistently through a choreography. Leisurely kissing and touching, the dancers at moments also resemble embracing couples from historical sculpture. Both real and constructed, natural and artificial, KISS immediately draws viewers into a subtle engagement with their personal experience of intimacy.

 

You must come to the audition with a dance partner (duo) you feel comfortable kissing and dancing closely with.

Exhibition information

MAZ is a public contemporary art museum in Zapopan, within the Guadalajara metropolitan area. In 2025–2026, MAZ is planning a three-month exhibition featuring various works by the artist Tino Sehgal. 

Sehgal creates immaterial works that focus on human interaction rather than material production. His constructed situations utilize the human voice, bodily movement, behavior, and language. This will be the first time Sehgal’s work is presented in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Period

KISS will be on view at the EstaciónMAZ from November 27, 2025, to March 1st, 2026. 

Rehearsals as well as working sessions are paid.

 

Application process
